Your opportunity: To provide expert clinical and patient-centred care within Q Clinic team leadership. Support the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice. Responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/ leadership, management, education and/or research within Q Clinic. The Clinical Nurse practices autonomously, applies critical thinking and provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to Q Clinic clients. This is a training position designed to provide clinical training and critical skills in the area of sexual health including HIV/AIDS and HCV. Successful completion of this temporary position aims to prepare the Clinical Nurse with the necessary clinical skills to practice competently in this speciality area. It would be highly desirable... for the successful candidate to commence a tertiary course in health promotion and/or sexual health during this temporary position (this would be at the applicants expense). It would also be desirable if, after completing the temporary position, the knowledge and experience gained would benefit the applicants permanent area of interest or expertise. This position will facilitate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Queensland's Sexual Health Strategy (2016-21) within the given geographical area.
