GenesisCare Australia are looking for vibrant, enthusiastic, and driven Medical Liaison Officers to join our Referrer Engagement team supporting the Wide Bay Region. With multiple opportunities available, you can either support our Bundaberg clinics on a permanent basis or support our Fraser Coast clinics on a 12-month contract. Both roles are 0.8FTE working an 8-day fortnight and will be supporting our Oncology and Cardiology sites.
The primary purpose of the role is to develop a CRM-driven approach towards referrer engagement at GenesisCare. Specifically, the Medical Liaison Officer (Referrer Engagement Representative) is responsible for developing, prioritising, and implementing key engagement strategies (acquire, develop, retain) and contributing significantly to delivering the... practice activity budget. Support activities include follow through on referrer contacts, tracking market trends and intelligence, reviewing key internal and external data sources, maintaining CRM tracker tools, and reporting on outcomes per initiative.
What Youll Do Have a deep connection to purpose and empathic understanding of how our service improves the life outcomes for each patient co-hort. Understand the relevant referral care pathway for patients in each disease indication and geography. Draw upon market research (existing or self-initiated) plus engage with and listen to referrers to develop an empathic understanding of their needs and preferences, and design effective engagement plans Partner with practice doctors to engage directly with current and potential referrers to understand their needs and barriers (why do they refer / not refer and what would it take to increase their referral share). Identify and respond to key opportunities to grow referrer relationships (e.g. understanding barriers to referral, putting in place agreements / support to lock in referrer relationships). Develop, prioritise, and implement key CRM strategies (acquire, develop, retain) according to referrer segments (e.g. volume, value, strategic value) and contribute significantly to delivering the practice activity budget. Monitor key marketplace, competitor and business indicators (e.g. market growth, referral patterns and market pricing review and analysis) and suggest appropriate corrective action steps if necessary. Demonstrate a robust understanding of and be able to advocate the merits of the CancerCare Service of the Future strategy. Together with the national team, and in line with the practice access and engagement plans; design, plan and manage effective collateral, manage and coordinate conferences and referrer engagement events, site open days and launches, major conference and educational forums, as required. Where required, manage advertising, PR and media campaigns, including development of content, coordination of design and placement of print, radio and online content. Support activities include follow through on referrer contracts, tracking market intelligences, reviewing key internal and external data sources, maintaining CRM tracker tools, and reporting on outcomes per initiative is a key part of the role.
Who You Are Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to successfully influence, negotiate and present at all levels in the organization, both by written reports and oral communication Strong analytical and strategic abilities with understanding and experience in demonstrating how CRM-driven approaches deliver outcomes Proven track record in promoting a pharmaceutical clinical product to GPs and specialists in the cardiology or oncology field would be an advantage Proven ability to build consultant level peer-to-peer relationships with clinicians and other healthcare professionals, particularly with surgeons and medical oncologists would be an advantage High levels of self-motivation and resilience Tertiary qualifications in science, health related, or business field is highly regarded. Strong existing relationships and knowledge of local catchment specialists, GPs, hospital management and stakeholders Pharmaceutical or health specialist/medical liaison experience Great selling, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills to succeed in delivering results from relationships with customers. Deep understanding of the radiation oncology / cardiology environment including an ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive optimal outcomes for stakeholders Experience in communication or marketing in relevant area
