The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded, community-based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

About the Role: Organisational Wellbeing sits within the People, Culture & Safety Directorate and is focused on the provision of strategic direction, support, advice and service provision of psychological health and safety for members.

This includes the provision of Welfare Services (Peer Support, Chaplaincy andPsychological/Counselling support), and case management/coaching support for a range of issues impacting on the psychological health and safety of members.

The Member Wellbeing Advisors are employees of CFA and work within the Organisational Wellbeing Team supporting psychological health and safety.

The MWA's... provide coaching, guidance, support and wellbeing conversations to assist earlyinterventions alongside tailored training and education programs.

The position has a strong focus on ensuring the delivery of high quality and consistent expert advice to senior leaders and members on both mental health and relationship management components of psychological health and safety. This includes providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders and members to resolve a range of live issues as well as developing and delivering a range of proactive strategies and services aimed at improving organisational and member resilience.

This position is not a counselling role.

The successful candidate will have: • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/Social Sciences or a related mental health field and/or significant Experience in a mental health field;• Demonstrated customer service experience• Demonstrated experience managing mental health issues and demonstrated ability to update and maintain knowledge of (psychological health and safety);• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to build and maintainrelationships at all levels within the organisation;• Demonstrated experience in face to face and virtual education and facilitation• Ability to provide expert mental health management advice, coaching and guidance to all members across a broad range of mental health issues;• Demonstrated problem solving ability with the ability to think laterally and significant experience in the resolution of complex issues;• Demonstrated experience in reviewing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and processes to enhance service delivery capability and outcomes.• Ability to work remotely, on weekends and after hours to meet service standardsYour ApplicationWhen applying for a position with CFA, the key to progressing in the selection process is the quality of your application.
