Exciting opportunity to work within the Strategic Intelligence and Planning Unit, which is responsible for business intelligence services to the University, as well as reporting & analytics, student load planning and surveys & institutional research.
In this position you will work closely with the rest of the BI team, whilst also developing and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the University, including the senior leadership team. You will manage and use a variety of systems including Cognos and Tableau, to report, analyse and present information to the key stakeholders across Deakin University.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the maintenance and upgrade of the enterprise tools required to visualise and manipulate data
Work with key stakeholders across the University to understand their needs and develop reports, dashboards and other visualisations to provide compelling insights
Use data manipulation tools to transform and integrate complex data to make it understandable and capable of being visualised effectively, as well as predicting trends where necessary
Work with other analysts to build an analytical capability to make best use of the appropriate technology from those available
Systematise single-use analyses where appropriate so that the results and/or techniques involved can be re-used by others
Develop and integrate new data sources with the rest of the BI Team so they can be used across the University
To be successful, youll have:
Graduate qualification in management information systems or a similar subject, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Proven experience of data visualisation and manipulation tools such as Cognos, Tableau, SPSS and experience in using these and support in data warehousing techniques
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills
Proven experience working in cross-functional and cross-organisational teams and in a collaborative team environment
Highly developed organisational and analytical skills combined with extensive communication and interpersonal skills
