The Company Our client are a healthcare and research facility with a large and diverse array of services
Due to an increased workload and focus on their annual strategic plan they are now looking for an OHS advisor to support them with these key initiatives on a 3 month contract. The Role Reporting into the Manager the Health, Safety & Wellbeing OHS advisor acts as a key generalist at the operational level
This role has a key objective of ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors by promoting strategies and programs to minimise risks of injury and damage
You will be responsible for co-ordinating initiatives aimed at ensuring safe practical working standards
You will act as a consultant to the business around best practice and new ways of driving culture. Your Experience To see you successful in this role it is imperative you are a people person, demonstrating excellent relationship building skills and be solid and effective communicator
You... will have the ability to work under pressure to multiple demanding timelines coupled with well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Technically you have solid experience in a similar role, preferably 3 - 4 years
You will have solid qualifications in OHS as a minimum allowing you to have a solid understanding of the OHS act and regulations, coupled with strong computer and reporting skills
Experience in a healthcare or community services organisation is also preferred
