This position is responsible for the supervision of the Ranger Services team, Parking Patrol Officers and Animal Shelter team including animal control, pollution, environmental regulatory matters. The position is also responsible for providing public education in relation to these matters.
In This Role, You Will Have An Opportunity To Assist in the management of the Dubbo City Animal Shelter Supervise and assist the ranger and animal shelter teams on a day to day basis Investigate animal, environment and health regulatory matters Enforce legislation as an authorized officer Develop and implement community education programs
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need Minimum Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) Demonstrated supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to handle companion animals and other animals Well-developed computer literacy and administration skills High level written and verbal communication skills including interview techniques, conflict resolution, customer service and report writing Demonstrated regulatory experience and ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy relevant to the position
You will possess excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate your skills and experience in leading a diverse team as well as provide support in the areas of animal control, ranger services and parking patrol, with extensive knowledge in the legislative requirements of animal welfare, pollution, environmental matters. You will also have experience in leading investigations and implement court proceedings on behalf of Council.

Salary: $76,073-$88,409 per annum plus superannuation.
