Right now, we have an opportunity for a... Works Supervisor to join the Regional Maintenance Delivery team in our Central West District to assist in the delivery of road construction activities for our Western Region. This will include safety improvement projects such as road widening to enable installation of safety barriers, large widenings to implement centre line treatments and asphalt maintenance projects.
You will be a critical communicator between the Project Engineers and construction crews, coordinating multiple work crews at once including both direct control teams and contractors. This role is responsible for the planning of works delivery and allocating and coordinating resources across teams to ensure works and projects are delivery in line with agreed time, cost, quality, safety standards and targets. The role also includes assisting in the bidding and estimation process for works and supervising major and minor contracts.
What you will be involved in: Project planning and resource management you will supervise, plan and coordinate major and minor contracts, including managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met. People management you will develop and manage the performance of staff by providing performance feedback, identifying skills gaps, preparing the team and individual development plans and facilitating opportunities for development to assist in building a team-based culture and to ensure work team have the necessary skills to perform effectively. Promote zero harm workplace - conducting risk assessments, facilitating and review safe work method statements, conducting toolbox talks and site inductions and investigating incidents and non-conformance to ensure quality, safety, and environmental systems comply with, and risk-managed effectively. This role will involve working on site at various projects and you must possess a current motor vehicle drivers licence and be available to attend after hours emergency callouts/work outside normal working hours.
You have experience in leading crews to deliver road construction projects supervising direct control and contractor teams. You have the ability to manage the allocation of resources to meet work objectives and monitor outputs to ensure resources are utilised productively and efficently.
You are an effective communicator and able to successfully lead and manage crews to operate in a harmonious, productive and well-planned manner.

Salary And Benefits
The salary for this position is RMS USS Grade 8 ($102,098 - $109,561) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
