How will I help?
The Transactional Banking Services is a non-customer facing business unit in Everyday Banking Services. The footprint is made up of approximately 150-200 employees located in Parramatta and Concord, NSW as well as our offshore colleagues in India. The team includes the banks servicing functions across transactions and savings accounts.
This position is part of a highly diverse team who services multiple brands across the group including Westpac, St George, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne. As a Team Member you will be... responsible for completing: Customer Maintenance & Payments performing reconciliation on internal office accounts, processing payments and actioning customer queries, opening accounts, closing accounts.
The team has several key internal stakeholders such as branches, Relationship Managers, legal department, and Product Managers.
Key responsibilities: Provide an excellent customer experience by resolving enquires at first point, verifying Identity Documents, receiving inbound phone calls, and processing payments. To ensure all work is treated with a sense of urgency and actioned within specified time frames. Identify and escalate continuous improvement opportunities to improve process and efficiency. Use and comply with procedures and controls that balance service levels and customer experience. Adhere to the Westpac Group policies and procedures relating to things such as Health & Safety as well as Risk & Compliance. Develop initiative to learn other tasks to broaden skill base and knowledge with a view to perform tasks competently. Be an effective team member by assisting other team members when required. Have strong work ethics and good personal time management.

What do I need?
You will bring with you your previous banking experience and have a thorough understanding of the bank lifecycle and workflow. To be successful in this role you will be a customer service superstar! With servicing our customers at the forefront of everything you do.
As well as this you will: High standard of phone etiquette, delivering superior customer service. Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements. Strong stakeholder skills, ability to build key relationships with business partners. Highly computer literate, experience with MS Office. Experience and knowledge in banking and finance is highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal) and ability to influence.
