Amaroo Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher Primary to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated and committed to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches and an integrated approach to teaching. They will create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. They will also use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class, including those with special needs.
Ideally, the successful applicant will... have a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum. They will be an active member of a collaborative team, maximising the learning opportunities for students and collaborating with their colleagues. Having a passion and joy for teaching and strong classroom management skills are essential to this role. A willingness to engage in learning and teaching Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) would be highly regarded.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers): Professional knowledge; Professional practice; and Professional engagement.
