The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a Lawyer Property to join us in the Property & Commercial team.
This is a Temporary Fixed Term Opportunity for 12 months, with the current... COVID environment the incumbent of the role will be working from home. The team is located in the Sydney CBD.
The Lawyer Property is responsible for provision of legal advice and services on property agreements and associated compliance issues to support the management of TfNSWs property assets.
You will be involved in:
Drafting advices and legal documents including advices on a wide range of property issues, occupation licences and breach notices in relation to TfNSW maritime and road related property assets to facilitate management of these assets and enable informed decision making to challenging and often sensitive issues.
Negotiating and settling disputes associated with maritime and road related property assets and assisting TfNSW in enforcing its rights as landowner and a statutory authority.
Implementing policies, processes and procedures and educating stakeholders to ensure organisational compliance with laws and mandatory policies.
This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel Property & Commercial.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a solicitor, holding an unrestricted practising certificate or eligibility to hold an unrestricted practising certificate in NSW.
Substantial knowledge and experience in at least 1 of the following areas of law: Property General Commercial law
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade USS 11 ($142,300 to $151,837) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
