Sales Manager, Australia and New Zealand

What will I be doing?

The Sales Manager is responsible for communicating and demonstrating the value of Innovative solutions to librarians, key stakeholders and decision makers in the library industry. This role is focused in the territory of Australia and New Zealand. This position will be specifically targeted with acquiring new customers... particularly in the Public Library sector. This is a field-based position within the designated territory, with high expectations for delivery of new and exciting software to the library sector, and for rapid growth in market share.

In this position, you will also…
• Achieve assigned goals and strategic objectives.
• Establish productive, personal relationships with key personnel at prospective customers.
• Coordinate the involvement of Innovative personnel, including sales support, support, services, and management resources, in order to maximize our sales success.
• Proactively lead an Innovative strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
• Proactively assess, qualify, and validate prospect needs on an ongoing basis.
• Engage with wider library and information community in the assigned territory.
• Lead solution development efforts that best addresses prospective customer needs.
• Accurately accounts for efforts associated with individuals and accounts through Innovative provided resources.

Qualified Candidates must have…
• Degree level qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
• Experience of working in the library and/or information technology sector.
• Demonstrable experience of closing new business with a complex sales cycle.
• Experience with NetSuite or other systems along with an understanding of the needs and standard requirements of sales reporting systems.
• Experience of developing Go To Market strategies for new products.
• Broad knowledge of the Public Library sector in Australia and New Zealand.
• Excellent network within the regional library sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and research skills.
• Strong ability to strategise, plan and deliver a clear sales strategy.
• Strong ability to foster effective working relationship and build consensus.
• Previous library sector sales experience.
• The ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.

Other Important Information
• Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours work may be required to meet customer and/or business needs.
• Position required to travel at least 30% domestically and internationally.
