PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Position is required to assist accounting team in making sure compliance with local legislation, WVI and donor requirements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Local (Government) Reporting
• Assist in preparation of income tax, security and other required reports. Support team with Accurate and timely submission of tax, social security and other mandatory reports required by local governmental bodies.

Accounting, Compliance and Monitoring
• Prepare for review by Accounting and Reporting Officer(s) all of the source documents/ payment packages,
• Enter data into standard registers as required. Being responsible for accurate and timely financial data into the standard registers, when required,
• Proceed with all payments after receiving confirmation all supporting documentation is in order,
• Ensure all bank accounts balances are reconciled monthly.
•... Assist Finance team with reviewing submitted EERs, communicate the outstanding issues to the staff and follow up till advance is cleared,
• Support Finance team and Finance Manager with monthly reconciliations as required,
• Assist Finance team and Finance Manager in processing the payments. Searching the issued invoices in the Tax online database, signing, downloading and attaching to the payment packages submitted to finance unit,
• Assist Finance team and Finance Manager in audit preparation to provide required information.

Documents Storage organization
• To organize accurate documents storage. Keep electronic list of documents storage accurate and updated,
• Developing and maintaining electronic storage of documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field is a plus,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting position with medium business/medium NGO/government agency,
• Experience with humanitarian aid in-country is a plus,
• Practical Knowledge of financial systems, budget/cash flow monitoring and internal accounting controls,
• Computer aptitude and experience with word processing, database, management and spreadsheet software,
• Analytical skills and good attention to details,
• Full commitment to World Vision’s core values and mission statement,
• Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies,
• Full Adherence to security protocols,
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically to 10% of the time
