Kanata’s East Side Mario’s location is located next to A&W and Swiss Chalet and near the Irish pub D’Arcy McGee’s. There is parking available directly outside the restaurant, and it is also close to stops on the major OC Transpo bus routes 96 and 118. This location is open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 1 a.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight.
East Side Mario’s is a family restaurant, but there is also a small bar at which patrons can watch hockey games and other sports. In the main section of the restaurant, aside from the bar, there are both booths and tables, and wait staff serve the guests. As for the cuisine, East Side is not open early enough to serve breakfast, but offers a wide selection of Italian-style dishes that are suitable for lunch or dinner, including salads, various pastas, meat sandwiches, and pizzas. Many of these dishes come with an all-you-can-eat supply of garlic bread and salad or soup. There are also additional, mainly smaller-sized lunch deals available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both the weekdays and weekends. Beverages for adults include soft drinks, coffee, tea, milk, and alcoholic options such as beer, wine and sangria.
For children 10 and under, the restaurant offers a children’s menu, from which kids can order child-sized pasta dishes and pizzas, chicken dino bites, Shirley Temples, milkshakes, brownie bites drizzled in strawberry sauce, and more. The Kanata location offers space for kids’ birthday parties, and parents can also sign their kids up for the Mini Mario’s Club, which allows families access to special deals.
For customers who choose to eat in, East Side Mario’s accepts Visa, MasterCard, debit, or cash, plus Mario’s gift cards, which can be purchased in denominations of $25 to $100. However, food is also available to-go, and one can even order it online at the East Side Mario’s website. Online gift cards are available for purchase at denominations of $10 to $1000.
